Oops wrong topic, I feel sorry for you guys....
Quoted from DakotaMike:
Ah, this old trope again. If new people don't keep buying TBLs, then old buyers won't get their games. Now I'm not current in whether Dutch is still actually making the Early Adopters whole or not. But that's the theory anyway. So don't make new buyers feel bad.
Yes, they do their best and the Early Achievers get a machine worth at least $12,000 for which they only paid $8,500 (without tax during that time).
Quoted from bmegar:
I called my credit card issuer and was able to get a refund.I explained what happened.I put the deposit on a American Express card issued though Wells Fargo
So that is the best learning, always use AMEX for deposits, they are the easiest to get a refund. But it can lead to that AMEX will charge pinball companies more or will not accept pinball vendors anymore as it becomes a risky category like adult sites.
Quoted from wcbrandes:
You are always going to be successful with your card company when this kinda crap happens and is reported but do not think for a minute these companies don't do their homework! Once they see the details and the fact you signed Roberts basic "your fucked" contract, I would be very surprised if anyone gets to keep their refunds. Sorry to say this and I know everyone deserves it back however you had the opportunity to cash out and once you rolled the dice the credit card companies are off the hook. Lets hope in some circumstances they miss this! Fingers crossed for all of you!
I hope for the best for you all, AMEX backed me in a crowdfunding gone wrong situation, but yes, for other cards I don't expect you will get or can keep the refund.
