Created an account to say I got in on a RAZA Xtra early morning on the 30th... took some convincing the wife and it only cost me a promise to remodel a bathroom that I was secretly planing to do anyway so I'm calling it a Win.

I'm new, so I feed into the other thread a bit. Realized that was a losing battle real quick. Too much history with too much personal investment and too many emotions.

RAZA looks fun, looks good, and looks cutting edge... What's not to like? Everything else Deeproot is looking to accomplish with the platform are things that should have been addressed a decade or more ago. Disagree with the process/execution, but how does anyone disagree with the vision/mission statement?

Pull for success because the whole industry will be better off for it.

Steve Bowden has been updating the Deeproot section of his site (https://funwithbonus.com/category/raza/) every few days or so with little rule explanations for RAZA. It's nothing significant, but it's good to see some new information being released somewhere.

I'm not sure what that is - looks like part of the play field art to me. I re-watched the playtime video with Bowden and Johnson and the ball rolled over it multiple times with no apparent impact. I also didn't see that disk light up at all.

I took the refund, came through just fine. Didn't make sense with 10k+ in for an Xtra on a machine I expected in February and no other recource.

Ordered a TMNT on 6/3 received it from Hemispheres less than a week later with mods installed and ready to play. Call me spoiled, but that's how RAZA should have been done too.

I just can't make sense of the thought process in December 2020 that laid out timelines with critical paths like UL/CE certifications and sourced parts being giant unknowns.

I like the idea of Deeproot and what they offer, and I'm not burned on the overall experience. It's cool they offered straight refunds, regardless of reason, but I'll never put money down again without finished machines rolling off a line.
