It's clear that some people had more information about this company than others. I myself had to keep my gob shut while working at Heighway, even though I knew people would lose their money.

Kaneda blew the whistle loud and clear, but very few people listened to him and money kept coming in.

Not everyone has their finger on the pinball pulse, but when parting with your hard-earned cash, you should listen to those that do.

The warning signs for DeepRoot were lit up brighter than the Vegas strip, but some people just don't.....get it. Limited intelligence? A busy life away from pinball? Risk takers who like to gamble? Who knows.

But as we all know, it's extremely satisfying to say "I told you so".

The SEC didn't step into Deeproot pinball - nothing is stopping DR Pinball continuing operations. The only thing 'frozen' is their fraudulent source of operating funds and the fact their sugar daddy got caught with his hand in the cookie jar.

I could be wrong, but since the deeproot 575 money was used on the pinball division, the pinball division is now considered an asset of the 575 fund and can be leveraged or seized, or frozen from doing business until funds are recovered?

Denial is strong with this one. Keep saying no one warned him while many had posted daily in TWO separate threads about red flags of DR for months and years, and still didn't take RM refund offer. Now he cried no one told him so. Stop blaming and hatred toward your fellow pinheads for not warning you or saying "told ya so" and point your fingers toward who actually stole your money.

Here is what I don't get: In this thread I've seen way way more harsh words used toward people who tried to save your money and headaches than the ones (RM and JPOP) who truly stole your money! Even today, 2 days after the scam news broke and the reality set in. Absolutely ridiculous!

Yeah, Ben has alluded to some extra hurt he is harboring here, but it is okay to have a bit of grace when you are proven right about something. Actively taking joy from those who have lost money to this debacle is not only a bad look professionally (if you care about that) but should force some self reflection.

IMO Ben’s kinda doing sarcastic/cynical schtick - which may not play through text (or at all based on people being hurt by losing money & being wrong). Ultimately Ben is one of us & just has the best interests of fellow hobbyists/customers/companies in mind. He’s just sick of seeing bad people screw over fellow pinheads.
