I agree .. Need sound clips from the actors..

That's like T2 and now hearing Arnold at all

Probably not the best example since T2 has no sound bytes, dots or even art from Terminator 2.

How gruesome are the DMD animations? Is there is a lot of blood and guts? Do we get to see walkers' heads exploding and limbs being chopped off?

#104 9 years ago

Please please please give us more details about the head in the prison building.

Looks like there are already combo champs and a champ for each mode + horde mode.

There was one more champion screen but I couldn't figure out what it said in that interview video. Looked like it was one letter.

Pretty good sign when a non-tv-fan is enjoying it.... so it "stands alone" as a solid pinball game.

I gotta think that will make this a slam-dunk for the avid fans!

Quoted from DeathHimself:

Pinball Browser add any character you like and zombie sound effects.
This game has awesome potential, I like what I saw and what I'm hearing.

Assuming this game has the same electronics package as the recent games then pinball browser will work. If this game has the new board set will pinball browser still work?

Here is a pic of a bit of the boards:

Hell it already has some of the best code ever for a initial release. Lol

That's like asking Gary Stern what his favorite machine is...."My favorite game is (insert newest production game)"

Do the magnets drop under the playfield? They look like it. The matrix sheet calls it "Well Walker" super action playfield magnet and "Prison" super action playfield magnet.

That would be cool, but i think the extra metal around the magnets is to help prevent wear on the playfield immediately around the magnet.

#112 9 years ago

Bummer. Not even the latest AC/DC code.
So I guess they can update it already.

I want to see the second - unique - magnet in action. I'm also curious about ball locks. Are there any?

Where would the ball kick out?

Not having voice clips from the show or custom clips from the actors is a real bummer. But I'm still excited about this title and will probably be getting a pro. I like that the ramps are repeatable ala BSD. Also like the Barn similarity to Sparky. The plunge shot looks super cool and different. Bring on the Launch Parties!

#116 9 years ago

I am really looking forward to this game.

Is Stern having a launch party at expo for TWD? I don't think I saw it specifically on the schedule...

Nope.

No really. I did hear Gary state that on at least 2 interviews that I watched. The consumers electronic show was one of those I seem to recall recently when Mustang was announced there. It was his favorite there.

Well that stinks, they could have made the Well Walker do something useful when it tilts back, like kick the ball out, now I'm bummed

Nope, Wellverine just gets angry!

I think the amc people wanted their logo on the window instead of "stern, made in the usa",
must have been tough negotiations

Looks like it's going to be a pretty fun game.

Thanks to the OP for his views on the game.
It looks like me have a winner here but we just have to wait and see.
Can't wait for my LE.

The lack of callouts is certainly disappointing. Why even bother licensing the AMC rights to TWD, just to put actor images on the Pro cabinet? If they weren't planning on doing any more than that, they should have just licensed TWD straight from Kirkman (Skybound) and cut out AMC completely. They have a freaking toy straight from one of the major villains (Governor's fish tank) and don't even have his voice in the game?? Just seems like a misstep.

The code is raw. I'm sure there will be some form of callouts at some point.

You play as an outbreak survivor, but in your travels you could encounter Rick and other TV show characters.

Nobody said there were no voices used from the show.

Right, it's like an original story set in the world of TWD show. That seems cool to me.

That sounds awesome.
While I do understand many may be annoyed that there aren't more walking dead call outs, I love that it's using the theme, but that's all.
Just a matter of taste but either way, it won't make or break the machine.
Fingers are crossed this turns out to be as good as we're all hoping.

Very excited for this game. Hoping for video soon. Thanks for posting.
