It's the same game. I own a VE and I think the ratings should just go with the original SM.

Lol, someone rated the VE with a 3.4 yesterday but has the original rated in the 9's. They must love them some Tobey Maguire.

I'm guessing that was the point of the rating. I didn't look but you can be certain it was someone that owns and original. I can see rating one or the other slightly different based on art and call outs. Maybe a 1.5 difference either way based on preference. In the end even if you like the call outs and art better on the original no one with any sense would rate the dots and lighting as worse. So if you prefer the original call outs and art you would still have a hard time rating the VE much lower if you are honest about how you do it. The modes and scoring are essentially the same even if they have names different, the shot map is the exact some with some tweaks to make the VE more durable and not have hang ups. The VE has nice trim, a shaker, better lighting, cliffy protectors, better dots, and better looking villain sculptures which should make up for lower ratings on sounds and art even if you prefer the original. I haven't rated the original but if I did I couldn't honest rate it more then 1 point lower then the VE and I hate those 3 movies and the original call outs.

In the end it doesn't matter as the ratings are nonsense but I always find it funny how petty people are when it comes to rating games.
