Quoted from Dono:

Bally EM - Double Up Pin (No, not the bingo)
Not so close 2nd - EM Mata Hari

I had a Double-Up (only 55 made) years ago. Sold it to Herb Silvers. He restored it and sold it to an Asian collector for over 10 grand. Well over I believe.

Rockola Big Bank Nite and Peo All American Football.....just started clearing the piles off of them.

I got to play a Magic Girl. It died on the first ball so I never finished my game, but don't feel any loss.

Not surprised, considering it was a very loose interpretation of the word "play" anyway!

Ain't it nuts these are changing hands for $15-20K when you can't even play it?

If it was never playable, does it technically even qualify as a pinball machine?

Someday I'm going to own a Hercules. Perhaps.

maybe you should play it some more first before wanting one.

My little boy loves Hercules but I'm all honesty I struggled to make it through a game. It was neat because of the obvious but ehhhhhhh. lol

#363 6 years ago

I have played multiple Hercules, from on location in cedar pointe park Ohio in the 80s to now in several collections including banning.

I found everything just popping, and responsive, Makes a very big difference. It's hard to work on too. I don't even think I could personally remove the glass alone. DisAbled.

It's one of those games for me I think. I'll get one. I'll find the dang room.

Some of you said Krull But that is a really, really, really terrible movie! Really terrible, one of the ones that is always brought up as a terrible movie.

Pins should never be made for bad movies, gives a bad vibe if I was playing it.

Some of the most enjoyable pins are based on bad or poor-performing movies. Congo, Shadow, Demo Man, BSD, The Flintstones, etc.

I liked Congo, all the diamonds! Michael Crichton is a great author and the book I am sure was better than the movie. But no way a bad one. May I say Plan 9 from Outer Space one of the worst and I have seen it by the way.

I didn't hate Congo and I loved Demolition Man, but neither are exactly cinematic master pieces.

Basically half of the 90s games were based on crap movies! Congo is an awful movie but man what an amazing game. I miss mine quite a bit

Krull is fawking awesome to play tho. Love it, and would buy one if I could afford it.

Should've paid the $2k.

I shot a 360 video of a Joust with Marcdaddy at Chicago Pinball Expo 2017
https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=49&v=nXxdEA8fYro
It was a fun game to shoot in 360 video.

Played so many rare pins. Guess Critical Mass would be the rarest while it never went into production.

#388 4 years ago

All the pins at Clay's show in Ann Arbor, where rare pins are amazingly common. Somehow Daisy May really stuck out for its unique flipper arrangement.

#389 4 years ago

Cyclopes for me.

Was that a Gottlieb prototype? Seems I remember some conversation about that pin.

#391 4 years ago

Played most of those mentioned. And trying to buy a few of them so if you have any of these for sale, I'm interested

Wizard blocks
Gottleib Spacewalk

Does anyone know how the drop targets work on Loch Ness Monster? The 3 bank targets have 4 inserts and the 4 bank targets have 7.

Does it have 2 ball or 3 ball multiball? I see the upper left playfield has 2 solenoids in the spinner/ball lock area

I play TBL at another Pinsider's house where I picked up my Funhouse. The game was beautiful but had some mechanical issues.

#400 4 years ago

Seems to me more and more of them have been showing up, not for sale but can't have it all. I hope to have the chance to play one someday, really a cool looking pin.
