I'm talking anything with a production number under 1k.
Mine is an El Dorado and the City of Gold. According to IPDB, it had a run of 905 units. The layout is like Target Alpha, El Dorado and Canada Dry but in a solid state version....
I know sometimes low numbers equate to a crappy pin, hence why they're low , but I have to admit I thoroughly enjoy this guy....

I wish I could have found the owner of the Spirit, and asked him about the story behind his machine, which I saw at Pinball Expo. A very rare beast.
AHHH... My dream machine!!!! What year was that at Expo? Don't recall seeing one the last couple of years....
@ Lorenz... That Schuss pin is way too cool. I would love to have cause that's my nickname! Anyway you can get videos of that in action?
@Emo... That's why I love Spectrum - full of drops! I also like it for it's pin precision shots.... I think that's why it deters people. You can't really get away with shooting thing at random.....
Wanna bump this up! Any new acquistions from you guys? I'll add 2 to the list - Atarians and a Freefall. Atarians - Production #unknown and Freefall is 1,300. I'm surprised on the Freefall since I hardy ever see on.

I agree... although I like Williams Gunfight! But also keep in mind, some of these are rare because of the era they were released 81 - 84ish - which was a bad time for pinball - hence limited production #'s... or associated w/ a movie that tanked - Krull. Another factor is Gottlieb, for instance, shipped (from what I heard) about 75% of their pins to the European market. which is why some titles are really hard to come by....
I mostly collect the 'rarer' pins. It gets frustrating sometimes trying to find (rarity) and because some people think they're rare, they demand more $'s. Spirit - I'm looking at you!

Very nice! I was close on pulling the trigger on one from South Carolina. All said and done in would've been a 1.2k pin. I like Excalibur but not that much!
