Currently Williams Scorpion @ 2000 made.
Picked up a Cactus Canyon back in December. Also have Godzilla.Robin and I have two of the 510 made.I feel kind of special.
I'm glad to see respect for my Swords of Fury, which was the first pinball machine I ever bought; I bought it for $500 in 1997 and still have it. Sadly it was pretty beaten up when I bought it-- the playfield has lots of the little half-circle scratches that result from dinged-up balls being used, the base of the right side of the Magic Tunnel ramp has been replaced with black tape, and a majority of the insert labels are half gone or worse. Still, I wouldn't sell it for what I've paid for all 5 of my pins combined. I wrote a rules sheet for it from memory in the mid-1990s, before I bought one; it's still the one linked to to this day on ipdb.org. I really should update it one of these years. My avatar picture here is from the lit artwork on the back wall of the playfield, near the upper playfield.
My second-rarest is my Laser Cue, of which ~2800 were made. My Black Knight 2000 (~5700 made) has the futuristic artwork on the plastic, which I'm told is rarer than the medieval artwork version, but I don't know the numbers on those.
Quoted from Jamaster10:a AGC HUO Pistol Poker with only 580 produced
and of course a CC
I have a Pistol Poker as well. 580? I heard about 200. At least I thought was what is on IPDB.
In my collection so far it's Fireball Classic @ 2000 made.
On the other side I also own one of the most non-rare games, Bally Eight Ball @ 20,230 made, right behind the record holding Addams Family @ 21,270 including the Gold Edition.
I have a 1993 Alvin G 'Mystery Castle' (200-500 produced) early production #17 with proto artwork. Also have an uncommon 'Class of 1812' by Gottlieb. And yes, 200 Pistol Pokers is the official number.
Black Spider-man, but I don't know if that really counts as it was supposed to be limited.
Have a super rare video game called the Act. Only about 40 of the kits made. Cool game on display at CAX every year.
I almost forgot, at one point I had a 1982 Bally BMX (406 made) and a 1974 Williams Skylab (3651 made). My ex found a guy that had them mouldering away in a garage, he said they hadn't been on in 10 years. Neither one worked; the BMX had a destroyed CPU board due to battery leakage and the playfield was worn down to the bare wood in many spots. I bought both of them for $100, but my repair skills were lacking at the time, so I sold the BMX for the $100 I paid for both, and I ended up giving away the Skylab to a good home, after holding onto it for 2 years and not making any progress on it.

Nice game, I suspect there aren't many of those about. I have only heard of one twice-once on UK ebay and once in Holland where I had the chance to play it.
That Viking is badass, first I have ever seen of it. I just saw an elektra for a grand on CL here in KC.
Batman Forever is also my rarest at 2500.
I have looked at buying a Godzilla but passed. Right now I am debating a lost in space.
The problem is godzilla's green ramp had a flasher melt part of it. With lost in space anything broken will be near impossible to find. So usually I avoid that low a production game.
Wanna bump this up! Any new acquistions from you guys? I'll add 2 to the list - Atarians and a Freefall. Atarians - Production #unknown and Freefall is 1,300. I'm surprised on the Freefall since I hardy ever see on.
Hereis sme pics ofthe Freefall..Enjoy!
Red Baron cockpit is probably my rarest game. Had a Gottlieb Roller Coaster pin (my 1st pin) that originally had 1550 units made in '71.
Quoted from fusion301:I own an atari airborne avenger: steve R's first design. only 350 made
Super jealous, that's an awesome machine.
Sometimes rare games are rare because they only made a few because the game is no good - like Williams Cosmic Gunfight - but for me, a lot of my favorites are rare games. And I liked the game before I knew it was rare. Where are people finding these amazing and rare games?
My rarest game is White Water. Not rare at all but my only game and hard to get or at least it was for me.
Speaking of rare games, now I just need to get a KISS to put this rare conversion kit on it:

my sharkey's shoot out 2000 stern. i think 400-700 were made? it's super fun, 4 flipper buttons....2 for outer lane pop up stops, and combined is a center post stop...at first i was like..gay. but it's super fun and shows some real skills on ball play reading
Quoted from action76:My rarest is Gottlieb Spirit. I think it had a run of about 1200 but it seems to be pretty rare.
You lucky fella! I want one but the current rate they're going for is ridiculous!
Quoted from Anim8ormatt:my Batman Forever is one of 2500. Not terribly rare but it is MY rarest. You don't see it a lot and it is a blast to play!
Same goes for me, and mine is HUO 3rd owner :^D
Night Moves cocktail table. I’ve been told around 300 made. Cocktail pinball machines are usually crap, however this one and Caribbean Cruise were the last ones made of this type, and were both done by Trudeau.
NM is a very good game too, very interesting feature bonus that changes, and different bonuses are better to get at different times of the game. Has the 80s cheese art like most of Trudeau’s stuff back then, but really is a great center piece.
It is the one game everyone always has a game on just to say they did.
Probably my 1934 Daval American Beauty. I *think* Richard Conger might have one but so far mine is the only one I've seen. First automatic scoring. First plumb bob tilt. First electric catapult kicker. First with a tilt that electrically stops scoring when tilted. Very pretty game with lots of awesome aluminum castings. Uses door bell coils of the day for solenoids and runs on a dry cell. It even uses a door bell as a scoring chime although I'm not sure if that's a first or not.

I agree... although I like Williams Gunfight! But also keep in mind, some of these are rare because of the era they were released 81 - 84ish - which was a bad time for pinball - hence limited production #'s... or associated w/ a movie that tanked - Krull. Another factor is Gottlieb, for instance, shipped (from what I heard) about 75% of their pins to the European market. which is why some titles are really hard to come by....
I mostly collect the 'rarer' pins. It gets frustrating sometimes trying to find (rarity) and because some people think they're rare, they demand more $'s. Spirit - I'm looking at you!
Quoted from LorenZ:And a "Schuss" rally france fliptronics: less than 100copies, 1968: one of the first with a sound card, nixies tube displays, illuminated posts.
Nice game LorenZ... I have Play Boy by the same company... where do you get the production figures from? Do you know how many Play Boys were made?
Is the 'sound card' you mention the same thing that makes the squeeky noises in Play Boy?

I've got the backglass for this

Spirit is going a little crazy, but to be fair, the demand has also went up a lot. So many people on pinside want to buy one if it was still at the low price of a few years ago, but things have changed. It will even itself out in the end. And Schusler, you raised some great points about the time period and Gottlieb sending machines abroad. I have rated over 180 machines, and so few are 80-90s Gottliebs. And we have very similar taste in cool rare games, minus Cosmic Gunfight.

SO JEALOUS!! If you ever want to get rid of it, be sure to let me know

What???? No Cliffy protectors?
Wow some great and rare pins here. I myself just got a Super Mario Bros: Mushroom World. It's my only one (not last) so its my rarest. Most sites say 519 made, so that's a low run. Can't wait to get the next one!-)

I'll bear you in mind, but I think it will be a keeper for the wall
