Quoted from bronco-jon:

Yes I have the old cab.
I was hoping not to have to go that route. I have an "Alien Star" with the same exact cab and it needs replaced too.
They both have an odd-ball sized head on them.
I'm trying not to have a fortune in these machines but I guess it all depends on how bad I want to get them fixed up nice again.
......Very poor choice of wood material that Gottlieb used on them, and exposing them to moisture was a mistake too.
Anyone know of a Gottlieb Touchdown and/or Alien Star that someone's willing to part with I'd be interested in them.

I have an Ice Fever for sale but it certainly wouldn't make sense to gut it just for the cabinet. It's the exact same cabinet as an Alien Star and the cabinet is in exceptionally good shape. Really mentioning it so you could keep an eye out for an Ice Fever cabinet as well.

Not rare, but I had an Alien Star back in the day. Went to a good person. Can't keep them all.

F-me Steve. Somehow I lost you address. Silly since Iv'e been to your pad.

Susi has some homegrown mandarins that she would like to send to you.

The Bally formerly known as E.T. (BMX - 406 made). Fun assuming the linear flipper mechs have been tossed. Also a sample afm.

The heads might be the same but the cabinets are different.
What are you asking for the Ice Fever?

Quoted from heatwave:

I actually posted on Pinside that I would be interested in a trade for a United Midget or Bally All-Star bowler

Within' the past day or so there is someone on here going through an All Star and asked for a little help. He hasn't
decided if he's going to keep it or not, but if you could score a Midget, that would be ideal.. (T)

Most notable;

Solar City (solid state test piece)
Incredible Hulk (System 80 test piece)
Asteroid Annie and the Aliens
Goin Nuts
Joust (head to head, test piece with blue/red plastics)

I have quite a few others from the 40's, 50's and the 80's that I don't see very often even though production was fairly high.

Oh, well, it was when I posted that almost two years ago. Still the only one listed in the U.S.!

Which is funny, as there's another CC Fire Cracker at Martyland in Oshkosh, ten miles away from me.

Being in Wisconsin, might that Firecracker be a true 2 Player AAB? I have a C.C. true 2 Player Bronco, and
also, which I now believe to be the rarest machine that I have is the U.S. version true 2 Player AAB Hyde Park..
After researching, I was unable to locate another..

MAC ATTACK??? What is the video it plays?

#469 5 years ago

Gottlieb Eclipse Sample game out of 191

#470 5 years ago
Quoted from cait001:

MAC ATTACK??? What is the video it plays?

It has 3 different video modes on the screen. One of them is shoot the bad guy not the girl. The second one is just like donkey Kong almost but with people shooting at you. The third one is press both flippers for the guy to fly up with his jet pack to save the girl without getting shot.

#471 5 years ago

Thunder Man by Apple Time of Milan, Italy, 1987. Only three known in the US, production units <749. Hope to have it for show at Allentown.

Rarest game owned? I believe some trade stimulators are games.

This is an original (except for some interior springs) 1932 Exhibit Supply Company ‘Spel-it’ dice game. Takes cents through quarters and you need to spell your winnings. Shown is a big win TW E N TY, where the operator needs to pay out x20 the last coin played (in little window). Also gives gum balls.

This game is shown on some of Exhibits lists of games made, but left off of most. Not found in any of the trade stimulator books to my knowledge either. Only one online I can find is the one I bought, shown here. Experts I’ve talked to haven’t seen it, so, pretty rare I think.

This is one-of-a-kind, but it probably doesn't count:

...but this is my rarest production machine - only 450 made:

I would say the 12th Sample (of 12) SPIRIT for me and then rounding the collection off with it's siblings; Haunted House and Black Hole. I've put them in their own room. Like kids with a three mattress bunk bed

IJ4. Not acclaimed but from my understanding only a couple hundred were made. Guests love it for how simple it is.

Quoted from Whysnow:

I just hope to play a punk someday!

Great sound 80's style. And I like how they make you relock any balls after yoi drain.

#480 5 years ago

Although odd to say that it’s rare because it’s so new, the production numbers are small (80) on my BM66SLE. It was a rough start that turned into an awesome game

My wife bought me the “half-pint” Batman to got with it!

Timezone in the early 1990's and cashing in 400 tickets playing Bromley Lil Pro or Captain Flag for a 50c keychain. Memories.

Rarest game owned for me would be a BBB remake or the elusive NBAFB converted to MM hybrid. It was quite fun and a challenge to do at the time but not worth the effort for any title now with the potential remakes hanging over the hobby.

Yep
went to get a project Baywatch ( nearly finished ) and found this lil beauty too!
bloody good memories and stoked to have some more uniqueness from the 90's

I only have two pins so far, so my rarest is cybernaut, with a production run around 900 I believe.

While not true pinball machines, we have a few flipperless redemption units, all Gottlieb system 3’s. Bell Ringer, Nudge It, and Bulls Eye. I don’t think many of them were made. Here is a picture of our three year old grandson, Emerson, playing the Bulls Eye. He talks to the ball the whole time it runs the playfield, telling it to, “Go down the hole”.

Old photo, still relevant, still owned.
Fits nearly anywhere.

103 production run, #87
I don't consider sample/prototype games that were fully produced as part of this category.
