A while back I bought this near perfect Playmatic Black Fever backglass. I got it from Mark up in Blaine TN.
I'm guessing the rest of the game was trashed from water damage, but the glass was awesome, the artwork just spectacular

While I was up there, I saw that Mark had the empty head as well. I picked that up too thinking that I might later build a nice wall hanging display with it.

A month or so ago, I cut the sides off the head to save the artwork (the rest of the head had water damage) and set them aside for when I had some spare time

Well, I finally got enough spare time to work on this project and over the past 2 days I:

- Bought a piece of 3/8" MDF for the backer
- Added some brick molding top and bottom
- Another piece of square molding to hold the bottom of the BG in
- I then glued and nailed the molding to the MDF, then filled holes with wood putty
- I needed to further clean up/trim the side pieces of the head
- I used blue tape to mark my cut, then razor knifed the artwork
- Then I flipped the piece over and cut it with a finish blade on my circular saw
- Both sides came out nice and most of the water damage was now gone
- I then painted the entire assembly a dark brown
- I found some iridescent gift bags and did a test to pick one
- The original back box had an iridescent back board behind the area with no ink
- I picked one and then used spray adhesive to glue it to the panel
- I added some extra behind the blanked out area where the score displays used to be
- Then I needed to mount the side art - I used velcro for that
- Next was the hard part - finding a way to hold the top of the glass
- I cut down/modified 2 plastic wing nuts and recessed the nut on the rear into the MDF
- Worked perfect and looks so awesome (weighs a ton!)
