Bally, 1993My TZ has begun to randomly switch off during a game and go into test mode. Then, it will begin a new game ok and be fine for a while where numerous games are made, then it does it again.
The only work done recently on it was a new set of lower flipper linkages and e.o.s switches but the machine didn't begin to play up straight afterward so I guess it's not related.
I've tried resetting all ribbon cables and it has new batteries but it's not made any difference. Any ideas please?

This definitely sounds like a battery leakage issue. Can you post good photos of your CPU?
