What would cause a game to start firing balls randomly in the middle of a game. My Congo has started doing this. The volcano will sound like it is trying to fire a ball and then balls will start coming out of the shooter lane. Any thoughts why this might be happening?

Check your trough switch, and both of the volcano switches the one from the ramp and the one from the left loop), if any or all of them are bad, or jammed you will see something like this.

Mine had this problem. It eventually got worse. I fixed it today by replacing the 10 opto board.
Looks like you asked this question a year ago. I think I used that info to troubleshoot mine. What have you tried since then?
