Quoted from DRDAVE:Posting this here as well as the starship fantasy ramp thread to get more potential ideas / leads:
I'm sure I'm not alone in wanting a new train ramp for Who Dunnit as many of them have a broken off and missing the u shaped metal ball brake bracket at the exit to the left flipper inlane.
Thinking in the mean time and or if these never get made, would rob the one that doesn't get any abuse ( the top middle exit to the pop bumpers) and finagle the exit from a used spare ramp from another game to plastic weld onto the exit then screw in the metal u shape "ball brake" to it
Then add a small blue sticky back rubber to the place on the middle pop bumper where that middle exit ball may drop onto with its metal u shape taken off.
Alternatively, anyone know of anyone whoe sells these u shaped ball brakes?

Dave you should ask Mantis Amusements if he’ll make this part.
Good idea! Even though one side of the ramp plastic where it mounts to is cracked off/ missing, the mantis piece will have 2 out of its 3 mounting tabs secured down. 1 to the post and one to the right side of the ramp
Getting near the home stretch on this one.
Adding this 1950s replica taxi cab after I fit it with a couple small leds behind the headlamps.
Thinking of tying the headlamps to the GI and another set inside the cabin attached to an appropriate feature light or 2.

I did a worldwide search and couldn’t find the part. You could email pps and ask if they’ll make the part. They have the B/W license so they should have the bill of materials(bom).
Quoted from YERFDOG:Just wanted to see if Sega Goldeneye was still on the list for the ramps?
I may still do it, but interest was a little light on it when I initially put it out there.
NOTE: I am not selling toppers directly through my store, they will be sold exclusively through Marco Specialties. Here are some samples of the upcoming Last Action Hero topper and tar pit ramp. The main ramp is available now at www.rampomatic.com.
The Tar pit ramp turned out great...the wave on the bottom of the middle section is due to a processing error on my part for the test pull. I had to jump up to .187" thick material, as .125" was too flimsy...so the price will be a little more expensive as a result.

Jody let me know if you have a junk/defective tar pit and main ramp for sale on the cheap, I'm thinking of upgrading my wall art. I'll still have to round up wire forms or I'll make them.
No hurry, can always grab at Allentown.

Gary I have a perfect one for your use...I made a couple out of 1/8 material, then realized it was too flimsy. I will put one aside for you to pick up at Allentown. I have a bad Main ramp also!

I just checked out rampomatic.com for the first time, and please let me say, as someone who paid an extreme premium for a single, out-of-availability ramp, *THANK YOU SO MUCH* for making the Tron ramps. Very good of you to do so.

Looking good! Any chance of Police Force topper lenses?

Not any time soon, the lens molds are a lot more expensive to make.

Blue looks great!
Quoted from JodyG:Testing some more color shades...
[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]
The blue looks pretty good, the green...not so much in my opinion. Too much green all over with that thing on there. I still prefer the original clear, but the blue works because it kind of looks like water.
Quoted from JodyG:Testing some more color shades...

I like the way the green blends in with the overall theme.
Just want to say thank you, Jody. Finally got your ramp installed on my Checkpoint. Perfect fit!
Quoted from gdonovan:I like the way the green blends in with the overall theme.
I would have to agree. The green ramp just fades away into the playfield. I find the blue a little distracting. That said, amazing work and I would take either color.

Nothing like a new crystal clear ramp! Very nice.

No kidding! Playfield has some wear in spots but once I added the ramp and LEDs, your eyes are no longer drawn there.

Thanks for sharing pictures...I love seeing new ramps in games!!
The increasingly popular rivet kits are back in stock, as well as the first batch of blue and green Fish Tales ramps.

JodyG have you ever considered a replacement Volcano ramp for Congo? I know it’s painted, but you could leave that to the purchaser or maybe find someone willing to offer it as a secondary service.
I’d say the majority of machines out there have this damaged, so I think you’d sell a lot. It’s also not a traditional ramp so maybe isn’t possible for your process.

Honestly, I doubt I would take this one on. If you can set up an intermediary, Pinball Center in Germany has one. The problem with unpainted items is that most people will not buy them. Im at about a 30 to 1 ratio of painted vs. unpainted Torpedo Alley mountains. Even when I am out of stock on painted TA mountains, the unpainted ones still do not sell. The wholesalers I sell to also do not want unpainted ramps for the most part, and the wholesale sales are what enable me to take on some of these low volume items and not lose my ass out of the gate. I wish I had a way to easily pre-print plastic before forming, but thats a whole other headache!
I appreciate the insight. I assumed painting would be a deal breaker. I’m aware of the one Pinball Center offers, and I’ll probably pick on up before it’s unobtanium, but it’s lacking so much of the detailed texture that the original has.
Im jacked to see one of these installed! Its such an oddball ramp...its hard to understand fully how it works until you have one in hand.
Ill have about 6 more of these available this week, then a short break until my next batch of material arrives. Then I should start being able to outpace demand.
Quoted from polyacanthus:My DE Simpsons ramp installed. Looks fabulous! The finishing touch to my 3 year odyssey restoring the playfield. Maybe 4 years, I lost count.

Wow, this looks awesome! I am glad your 3-year journey is finally wrapping up on a positive note...it was well worth it.
Quoted from pinballboy:How about a Monday night football ramp?
I covered this one a few pages back...but the short answer is that those ramps cannot be redone with my methods due to the narrow rolled areas around the ramp lips. You need an aluminum mold for that, which is $$$$.
Posting the ramp on Fish Tales. Went with Green, even though it doesn't show much here. Very nice and other than having to re solder some switches, it was easy to install. Great product.
