My ramp diverter to lock balls is not moving as it should.

Sometimes it stays left even when it has to lock a ball and should be right or stops in the middle and the weight and speed of the ball defines what direction it will take.

Guess this is something than can be adjusted ? Manual doesn't provide any help.

Check that mechanism is clean, possibly replace the coil sleeve if it's never been done

Also, the flag has to be tight.... it's similar to a flipper just with a different end on it

How to tighten up the flag (guess you mean the metallic part moving from left to right?)

Somewhere around item 8 is where you'd check it.... not sure if there's a screw in there, if it's press fit it would have to be pulled and possibly welded/replaced. But anywhere in that mechanism if there's slop, it's just not going to be tight.

There is indeed a little inbus screw around 8 which was a bit loose... I tightened it up but still the issue remains.
Despite the fact I thighten it up item 11 in the drawing can still easily be moved up or down...

The coil is still doing his job, the metal part is not doing what it should be...

Up or down play (a little) is OK. You want it tight so that the linear motion of the plunger can be translated to rotational motion for the flag.

If the hole the plunger goes through is egged out it will need to be fixed with some kind of filler/bushing. Might need to fill it with something like JB weld and drill a new hole.
