I have a LotR with a lovely playfield that just needs some cleaning. I noticed there are some slightly raised inserts that I can feel with my hand but don't seem to affect game play at all. If I roll the ball with the glass off I can hear the ball rolling over them but it still rolls true.
Would it be prudent to attempt to repair these or cover them with a playfield Protector? I'm going to be switching the lights to LED so the heat reduction may stop them from continuing to raise. I'm just concerned about long term wear.
