I have had my Radical for close to 15 years when it was generally under the radar.. Looking at this thread I am really surprised at the number of quality Radical! machines out there in the wild still. Being such a low run machine, being shipped internationally, and +/- 20% destroyed for parts etc. I am still seeing pinheads in the forum pick up quality machines.
About the ramp repro chatter...
I am going to just make up a number of number of Radical! machines in playable / restore-able condition....let's say 1000 (which I think is high).
I don't know what the break even point on making money on a ramp repo but lets say every Radical needs a set of ramps (they don't)... Is 1000 sets of ramps enough to make any money on a repo run?
I need a cross over / bowl ramp but the ramp is HUGE and while I would pay a premium price for one I am not sure it could be made in a way that would be profitable simply because the addressable market is small.
Disclaimer: I know "nearly" nothing about the ramp repo business...
