Hi Skaters, does anyone know what part number the wire and gate is at the start of the vertical ramp?
Anyone know where to buy it?
Thanks

You will most likely need to modify one or bend one out of wire.

That’s it but it looks as though it has been discontinued. I had to make my own after I was unable to find one.
Quoted from yellowghost:Got my ramps from freeplay. Words don't do them justice.

Sweet. Did you just remove the stickers from your old ramps and reapply?

Yes. No reproduction decals to my knowledge.

What method of decal transfer did you use?
Quoted from Davi:Hi guys, looking for help.
What is the purpose/location of this metal part?[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]
It will sit ontop of the plastic to the right of the top-right flipper.

...
I love this thread, so much love and passion for the Radical pinball machine.
As shown in the video, I have two of these amazing pins, maybe you have heard Zachary Meny on his podcast, he is on the search for one to strip down the playfield and send it in for reproduction.
I think it’s GREAT!!
I remember how lost I was few months ago, when I was looking for new parts for this totally rad pin, nothing is out there, well other then Freeplay40 ramps, which is great.
Link to my Radical X2 video, with my story
Have a great day out there:
Can anyone please help me with a picture of there interconnect board? I have a loose wire that looks like it belongs at j7.
Quoted from radiomoz:I figured out the loose cable. Does anyone know where this big post go ? I’m guessing maybe should replace the post I circled. ?? My game showed up with that post missing so I put that metal one.
[quoted image][quoted image]
Mine just has a regular star post on the outlane adjustment. I don't see anything like that clear post anywhere on it.
Mine has a threaded post with a rubber sleeve on it, but perhaps this is wrong per the manual. Looks like a standard star post goes there. That double star post is probably to prevent a trapped ball somewhere but I dont see one on my game anywhere.

You have nothing supporting the right side of that ramp in the background? It should be a hex post. Maybe they were using that double height instead?
Quoted from Clytor:Classic skate vid callout upgrade is underway for my Pinsound. Any music alteration is going to be a long term project. There are so many bits and pieces to it.

This is great! I did an extensive Pinsound package for BSD called the Expanded Mix with countless SFX/Voice audio clips cut from every inch of the movie I could, and over 25 different songs from an unreleased score edited into nearly a hundred different placements. That package is basically done and I'm really itching to work on Radical next.
Maybe we can combine efforts, or I can help in any way, if I get on board before you're done? I too was thinking old school callouts from late 80's early 90's skate videos would be cool. I've been daydreaming up tracks to use and how they can be implemented based on gameplay videos.
With that said, I'm looking for a Radical to make this happen. Fingers crossed.

Tony hawk has a documentary that just came out, it has a few cool punk songs , “she goes to Finos” toy dolls. Is one of them
Here’s a link to all of the songs I found in that doc...

I think your idea is pretty great, but I do actually love the original sounds and callouts

I am happy to share what I have done thus far. I had started using "Possessed To Skate" by Suicidal Tendencies as the main song. I also though "McShred" by McRad would be cool during multiball. All of the synth "guitar licks" are likely not in the same key. I could probably pitch shift them in Pro Tools to the correct key. I could also replay them on guitar in the correct key or play new ones...or rerecord all the original songs with actual guitar...you can see where this can go down the rabbit hole pretty quickly.
And here it is ! After few days of cleaning !
It was really dusty, but in a pretty good condition !

Very nice! The Santa Cruz hand is wicked!
Quoted from hisokajp:weird the inside painted pink
Its à perfect match with the pink of the game ! And that brings more Light inside the game!

Just chasing confirmation that the post next to the drop targets is not factory.
The manual doesn't have it and the pictures on the IPDB don't have it either.
Thanks in advance.

My Radical had a post there as well when I bought it. Mine has a steel mini post there with a small rubber on it...a bit different than your photo. Yours seems to be a wood screw or a machine screw through a plastic post. A wood screw is probably a bad idea there as it will take a lot of impact and could loosen eventually, but if yours is an 8-32 machine screw into a T-nut then you're probably okay.
Neither of the two I have had(Diamond Plate currently, and non-Diamond plate I no longer have) contained that post.

Thanks, now it's clear as mud.

Thanks, I'm pretty sure that someone has molested this machine. Just doesn't look right.

I think it was maybe a change in manufacturing at some point. Ours have that post in exactly the same location. The post probably helps to keep the left drop target from getting the corner broken off since the drop can only take direct hits without hitting that post as well.
And my buddy's machine down the street has got it installed as well.

Thanks again,
Does your buddy's have the metal post or a plastic post?
Cheers, king pin.
I have worked on 2 Radicals and they both had the metal mini post like the one in the picture DuffysArcade posted.

Thanks, just finished going through the entire thread and all the photos I could see had the metal post.
Just glad that the hole is factory and doesn't need filling.
