OK. Knife fight between two of the greatest classic era Sterns. Who wins and why? Also if you think another game is better than these, tell us what and why. Let the battle begin!

I'm going Quicksilver for the ruleset and that awesome middle drop bank. Star Gazer while awesome feels a little more repetitive.
Quoted from HoakyPoaky:Seawitch
Cool. I want people to disagree with the two options. What makes Seawitch the best, in your opinion?
Let's just turn this thread into a Stern Electronics love fest. Meteor was the first game I bought. Still love it. It is simple but keeps you pressing start. Any Stars, F2K, or Ali love?
Quoted from DRDAVE:Top 8 Sterns for me:
Quicksilver
Star Gazer
Nineball
Stars
Seawitch
F2K
Ali
Big Game
Expanding to the next 2 to get to top 10:
Cheetah
Stingray

Dr. Dave, I've seen your work on YouTube and I'm very impressed, I've only played Stingray once, do you think it's superior to Meteor? If so, why?
Quoted from pinlawyer:I now have a restored Dragonfist. Love it. Top 5 at least.
Dragonfist is a grail for me. I don't expect to ever have one. How does it compare to the other top rated Sterns
Quoted from Methos:How do these games compare to classic Ballys? I admit I love and enjoy playing both. Seems the STERN runs had far fewer units built. I assume that was due to distribution "issues".....
I think Bally had an ultimatum with distributors/operators, if they bought Stern games, they couldn't buy Bally games. That is is why there was so few classic Sterns made. It seems like this probably happened after the success of Meteor and Bally felt like they had to defend their turf.
This thread is definitely helping me figure out what I want to acquire next. I'm thinking Big Game, since I don't have a pin with an unorthodox flipper arrangement.
I think Meteor might be the ultimate bang for your buck game. Not to derail my own thread but Alien Poker is close to the top as well.
Quoted from dothedoo:Genesis used to be one too. People couldn't get past the translite and nobody wanted it. Now they're starting to see there's a good game lurking under that ugly translite and the value is going up.
15 years ago nobody wanted these old Sterns. At auctions they were dead or had problems and you could pick them up for pennies on the dollar. Then the hype from the collectors started to raise awareness on these gems and the value soared. Unfortunately, the cat was out of the bag by the time I was looking for a Star Gazer.
That alt translite for Genesis is sweet. Did Aurich do that?
