I forgot to mention: I will do the plastic set as well, but that will take some time as we are setting up a new machine for that right now, my other CNC machines do not have any capacity for plastics right now. The art and cutfiles are already done but I need to prioritize other things right now.

The special combo price will still be the same even if you order the playfield up front. As timeline I expect them not to be ready before August.

Mirco

So for this do we just order the playfield now and then get a discount on the plastics when ready?

How would shipping work?

Or should I message you?

Thanks

Question....

What are the 4 spots in the translucent amber and green inserts and what do they look like when backlit?

#7 4 years ago

Looks like die marks in the inserts.

#8 4 years ago

they all have it. Lighting wont change that.

#9 4 years ago

The spots are from the ejectors in the die.

For the plastics - there will just be the difference to the combo price to pay. Playfields would ship now, plastic sets once available in a different box. I will cover the extra shipping cost...

Mirco

...So you can see them when lighted? Sorry if that's a stupid question

Just go to his PayPal store and order. That's what I did.
Unless your getting a multi order discount.

Thanks! Found the link but need the coupon code for multiple playfield discount.
Was planning on ordering 2 as I am restoring a QS for a friend of mine with blown out playfield. (And one for me for when the next QS project comes along)

Just got mine in.

2 small things I'm not thrilled with but lots I'm very very happy with!!!

First the bad and once again these arnt a big deal.
The packaging didnt work great, they use a bigger box with these foam pieces to keep the playfeild suspended and protected which would work awsome if they taped them on. When mine arrived they had all come off and the playfield was banging around loosely in the box luckily no damage.
2nd for the price these cost I was hoping they would atleast have the bottom painted grey like all the originals. Guess I'll have to do it myself.

Now the good.

Absolutely stunning
The art is really well done, the colors look great. Now normally I'm not a big fan of digital printing, I'm very picky and can normally see all the printing lines but with these I cant see them and once again look amazing.

Very happy with it.

Congrats Mitch she looks beautiful! I'm still waiting for mine to come back.

We received our Quicksilver Playfield this week from Mirco and we are absolutely pleased with the playfield. Thanks for making a beautiful playfield for this classic Stern game.

Gray latex for bottom. I use a mini roller, & apply to wood areas first!

Any plans for other classic Stern titles?

#21 4 years ago

Yes some are in the cue but I have no production capacity right now left. We have more machines coming which would add more possibilities in a couple weeks...

Mirco

Why would you paint the bottom? Is it just for aesthetics?

Yes and that's how they came from the factory.

It looks like what was done originally. Maybe seal wood with clear if they were bare wood in the past. Not jumping on Mirco thread, I have no idea what is being done on Mirco classic Stern stuff. If bare wood people can decide what they want to do, or nothing at all.

Any update on the quicksilver plastics?

#26 4 years ago

Sorry not yet. We are running only playfields right now, but as the new extra people are trained now I will have a little more time shortly to work on new stuff. But we are expecting a baby in the next 3 weeks so that will take some time as well...

Mirco

Plastics are available here if you don't want to wait, and they are top quality.

Not a huge fan with how thin their plastics are, plus I'm supposed to get a discount on my plastics from mirco for the playfield bundle
