I just finished shopping out my Quicksilver and one of my displays quit working shortly after the shop job. I have repaired displays in the past that had segments missing and such but am not sure what to tackle with this particular issue. When the game boosts up the far right digit has dots around it and when the game goes into attract mode all the digits seem to have a static fuzzy like appearance. I have moved the display to a different location and the problem lies within the display. I have attached photos to show what it is doing. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Outgassing. Time to replace.

Does that display improve any if you increase the display high voltage on the Solenoid Driver Board (SDB)?

Re-solder the connector at the display and see if that improves the display.
Is the display sort of strobing?

I have not tried increasing the voltage. Yes, the display appears to be strobing almost a static like appearance. I have tried reflowing all the pins with no changes.

If you can't get it fixed, the UNO displays are affordable and very easy to assemble.

Thanks guys. I'll try replacing the 4543 chip and if that doesn't fix it I'll go the UNO replacement route.

Thanks to everyone's input the display is fixed. It was in fact the 4543 chip.

Have a great weekend!
