Lots of Great Buzz....Exceeding my Expectations!

While we have other threads, I was hoping this would be more of an "pre owners club".

Please vote only if you are a committed buyer, as opposed to which would you buy.

Im curious about the 250 US LE's...How many going to
Pinsiders..

...and Premiums, the results are interesting....

#2 3 years ago

It's all your fault Art.

I'm in on the LE

Deposit placed on LE today

Who still had some they could sell?

I bit on my first LE to un box...Im guessing 150 plus LEs to pinsiders....

Thanks! I was just going to blame you!

#6 3 years ago

Ordered a pro and an LE last week.

#7 3 years ago

Just placed my deposit down for a Premium. I just broke my rule of not buying until playing, but this just looks too cool

#8 3 years ago

I agree Cleland!

In looking at the game, and some conversations the last few months on Game Play, Im stoked!
Not even concerned about code out of box...

I like so many different types of pins...this one gets my panties in a bunch!
Stunning!

I can't commit, plenty of time to digest but it looks good. I also really like to looks of Kiss so I'm keeping that open as well.

I am debating a premium, but not if stern is locking distributors to the msrp. If that is the case I have 0 interest.

#12 3 years ago

After owning ~15 games, GB will be my first Premium ever. Unfortunately, I'll be on an extended business trip for a while, but I look forward to reading the reviews and checking out the videos. I'll have a sweet box waiting for me when I return.

Got mine from Game Room Guys, but they said the phone was ringing off of the hook, so I doubt they have any left

Stern is not locking dealers to the MSRP. They are just setting a minimum cost threshold. MSRP is pretty much ALWAYS higher than what anything goes for. It stands for Manufacturer SUGGESTED retail price.........lol

I know someone who just ordered his le at full msrp being told that they had to.

Prices on the these seem to be floating with around a 10% discount +/-

That puts a premium at 6840. I'd debate it. Probably wait for feedback on code. Kiss hasn't exactly had steller reviews in the code dept.

#18 3 years ago

It's all Art's fault !!

In on a GB-LE !

#19 3 years ago

Isn't this the third poll with the exact same question?

#20 3 years ago

Not really...one asks what would you buy, if you were buying...meaning everyone could vote.
Another is polling if you downgrade from an LE to a Premium.

I was hoping to see, while we are buzzing, how many LE are going to pinsiders..
Then Premiums and Pros.

Since there are approx 250 for Canada and US, and I have heard of sellouts from several distributors,
I am curious to see if perhaps almost all LEs go to friends here....

So I asked for only those now committed to buying to vote, and see some ratios....

#21 3 years ago

I broke my rule on TWD. Glad I did.

Breaking my play it first finish the code rule again as well with GB

#22 3 years ago

Well said Ice! From what i've heard there should be no re-working of audio needed on this one too, original sound bytes with custom call outs from Winston.

I'm trying my best not to picture that.

Just for you, Tim....how I looked.....

aaaahhh!

My eyes are on fire!

If that is the case, they were lied to. Stern is NOT making distributors charge MSRP. They are setting a minimum threshold to stop some of the undercutting, so most are around $500 to $700 under MSRP for the LE and somewhere close to that range for the premium. But that is just for the pin...Stern cannot dictate what is charged for shipping, setup, etc.

#27 3 years ago
Quoted from Manimal:

I'm pretty sure that's price fixing & would be illegal.

#28 3 years ago

Upon further review, I stand corrected: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Resale_price_maintenance

I was going to contact some distributors today, but I guess that's reason enough for me to delay my purchase.

Kiss has the Bad News Bears on the code team, mostly responsible for XM code, not saying GB will be great but Sullivan is probably the second best code guy at Stern.

Sullivan worked in Tspp not sure what all he was responsible for on that pin but that's a great game to have on your resume.

#30 3 years ago

I really, really want one. My problem is that I'm in the middle of finishing my basement and buying one would severely put a hamper on progress. This being responsible crap is for the birds!

#31 3 years ago

Just put on deposit down on an LE.

One distributor quoted me at $8,200 while another at $7,800. I will say that distros are sticking to their guns a bit more with this release compared to others due to demand.

#32 3 years ago

Everyone needs to make a living. Distributors have historically made just about nothing on games.

#33 3 years ago

I'm in on an LE.
First Stern for me.
First NIB for me.
First time since becoming a collector that I've been this excited for any game.

#34 3 years ago

Premium here. I like the LE but I much prefer the art on the Prem and the Pro - Ecto 1 all day long!

#35 3 years ago

Why are these polls always missing an "I'm not buying it" option?

Pro, always

Quoted from Law:

Why are these polls always missing an "I'm not buying it" option?

Because that's another poll in another thread. This is to see how the actual buyers are shaking out.
