I am having an interesting issue with one of the flippers on my quick draw. The flipper works fine for the first several games, then it will start sticking and will not return consistently to the down position. I rebuilt with a PBR flipper rebuild kit as I do all of my machines. When cold, if I manually test it, it works perfectly, no sticking, seems to be adjusted properly, the spring return is crisp, etc. Any ideas what to look for here?

You left a little up and down gap with the playfield? I would start with loosening everything and tightening it down again just for the heck of it.

One other thing to check might be the playfield bushings. Compare them closely to the originals. I've never gotten bad one from PBR for Gottlieb games, but I have recently gotten some that were the wrong length for Bally.

I guess I am assuming this sticking issue has to do with something getting hot over time, but I can't figure out what would affect the flipper return...

That a tough one. I can only suggest reviewing VID's guide.
