I'm replacing a coil on my BH's lower left pop bumper where the plastic panel with the lugs snapped clean off, breaking the small coil wires as well. it's mangled enough that I cannot tell which way it went on the old coil.

In terms of wiring up the new one, I think I have it right that I can put either wire to either lug, as long as the banded end of the diode goes to the same wire it did originally. That sound right? Wanted to check before I get to soldering...

Thanks!

Quoted from Toyguy:

That is correct. The coil itself has no polarity. It's simply a length of wire, wound around a bobbin.
