Do you use single or double rubbers on the slings and behind the drop targets? And are you happy with your choice? Thanks in advance.

Single and it seems to work fine. Never had an issue or considered doubling them up.

Thanks for that. I assumed it was doubled up to keep balls from getting trapped, especially under the passive slings, but it also likely minimizes the sling switch scoring.

Same here, single on everything, all seems good.

I think you will be fine without doubling them up. My family loves this game. Its not deep just fun pinball/arcade combo game

Thanks. That's what I figured, especially in a home environment. Probably makes for better ball action as well.

Nearly every Baby Pac that comes in has been doubled up on the sling rubbers. I've always done just one and never had an issue.

And unbelievably hard, those ghosts should play defense for the Packers.

Hard indeed. It will be one of the last to leave when the time comes to move on to something else, it is just addicting.

I liken Baby Pac to an arcade biathlon - not something a one sport hero can easily walk up to and master. I've found Oliver's home ROMs help in the transitions between video and pinball. Combined with the fact that the women and children like it and it being a family friendly theme make it a long-term keeper.

I appreciate all the responses.

Home ROMs? I had no idea, do tell...

HOME ROMS????????

I actually think the game has some cool strategy, and the pinball is much more important than most people realize for netting a high score...

That being said, my highest score is only around 313,000.....

Yes whats the deal with the home ROM's????

Change two ROMs - U2 on the MPU board and U9 on the Vidiot. Can be changed one, the other or both. Download here:

http://mirror2.ipdb.org/files/125/babypacn.zip

From the creator Oliver:

"Remove automatic start of the pinball after the video mode,
you have to press the right flipper to put the ball in play
recalulated checksum, no version number, crc-32 checksum is 734710cb
burn the pacmanN.U2 on 2732 or a 2532 eprom for the -133 mpu board

Remove automatic start of the video after a player starts.
You have to move the joystick when the message "use joystick to play maze" appears
recalulated checksum, version is displayed during attract mode
burn the babyvidN.U9 on 2764 eprom for the vidot board"

I've found the version on Planetary does not wait for you to start the pinball - it will launch the ball automatically after about 3 seconds.

Does not affect the other settings you make through the DIP switches.
