So I just made my first NIB purchase since I bought Ballyhoo back in 1931, picked up a Godzilla Premium off of, of all things, Amazon.com. Transaction went amazingly smooth and I have zero complaints and zero issues with my new game. So this question does not constitute an immediate need, but, if I were to have a problem inside the warranty period am I going straight to Stern, or is Amazon reselling through a know pinball distributor? If they are there was no indication of that in any of the paperwork I received, machine drop shipped straight from Stern. Maybe Amazon is actually the distributor?? If so does anyone have Jeff Bezo's phone number so I can call if I have a problem?
Also I hope I won't generate any hate with this thread for being "anti-distributor" or anything. Nothing is further from the truth, I had my name on at least 3 wait lists and this just came up before any of them could get me a game. It's not like there are any NIB pinball machines desperate to find buyers nowadays. So that said, while I will always say "support your local distributor" my transaction and delivery experience with Amazon was very satisfactory. It was especially funny to see my echo devices pulsing and giving the notification "One new item has arrived from Amazon, pinball machine has arrived" or something to that effect.
