I have a question about early Gottlieb score reels. On my 1965 Ice Revue I have been having trouble with one of the score reels and checking it out it looks like it might be missing one set of contacts.

if you look at my original disassembly photo, the inner set (top in picture) looks to be missing the top set of pads. originaloriginal

On my cleaned and polished version, it looks like this. cleanedcleaned

It seems weird that both would fall off, but I am not terribly familiar with this old of a machine. Is it supposed to be that way or do I need to replace that assembly?

Quoted from mark532011:

do I need to replace that assembly?

Contact popped out or wore out. Pound a new contact in or replace if you can.

If you study it, the wire to the lug is on the same leaf blade as the missing contact.

thanks for the info!

Interesting than neither contact face is there. What does the same switch stack look like in another of the score reels?

The other reels do have both contacts. I am guessing one contact fell off some time ago and its been using just one but who knows
