Here is my advice, unless there are clear signs of corrosion and damage, avoid repining for the sake of repining. Connectors came from the factory with a corrosion resistant tinned finish. When you start cutting off pins and crimping on new ones your going down a rabbit hole that it can be hard to come out of.
Sometimes you have no choice, especially with burned .156 pins. But with .100 pins often all that's needed is a gentle cleaning with a wire brush.
