I can relate. I played the Pro and LE several times and then waffled in agony for a long time between Prem and Pro and had a really hard time deciding. I ended up going with the Pro partly based on the feedback on these forums relating to price difference /value, limited impact in gameplay, and potential issues with the items you mentioned. This was my first NIB purchase and the last thing I wanted with a $6K-$8K machine was to problem solve those items if they happened (save that for the auto-launcher!) The Pro has exceeded my expectations and in retro, I would make the same decision. It is solid and a workhorse. I am an IMDN fan so visually the discography of Eddies on the translite felt more true to a "greatest hits" representation that matched the playfield and song selection. Plus, the side art and overall colors of the Pro look even better in-home. I ended up spending some of the "savings" by customizing with a shaker, upgraded glass, art blades, and a stern mat. Good luck with your decision!
