Maybe a silly question, but would a pin2k door fit a WPC pin and the buttons work the menu?

Yes, you need the adapter to plug onto the WPC coin door interface board.

http://www.marcospecialties.com/pinball-parts/09-61000-X Marco has a picture of the short adapter already connected to a coin door harness.

Instead of messing with the adapter, I just cut the ends off and recrimp in the right size .156 header.
