Quoted from PanzerFreak:

Dear pinball manufactures,

Dear Hobbyists,

Marketing's job is to make everything seem better - no matter what they are given to work with. They will fluff, stretch, and promote -- because that is their role.

Identify marketing as marketing and be at peace

Signed, Marketing

Will this be at expo? Seems critical to sales if they do think they have a winner?

Quoted from reffob:

It's got a home brew look and feel which is not necessarily a bad thing if it shoots and plays well.

I don’t get that recurring comment. All the areas hb tends to skip or cheat on… like aprons, armor, materials, color coordination, coverage… all look very professional on this game. I get if someone doesn’t like the style… but it associate it with amateur is a disservice IMHO. The disassociation between the video and the game play doesn’t feel as much of a pinball game as we are used to… and i can see that being off putting… but physically the game looks just as professional as alien and Most AP games i think

Quoted from iceman44:

Queen is also not close to being finished.

Which begs why did they bother launching it months ago when it's clearly going to be months yet before it's really fully baked. They really are missing the concept on how to 'tease' without ruining their own entrance.

Code will get better now that physical games are here stateside.. but hopefully some artists will get to work on a alternate glass ASAP

Quoted from beelzeboob:

So here's a question: They don't actually lug those games all the way back to Europe after the show, do they? Did somebody buy the floor models?

I'm sure they will goto cointaker and others to be the show games for the next year plus... but some goto other development needs.

Quoted from beelzeboob:

So...now that some owners have gotten their games, you other owners should let me know when I should change this to an owners thread. Happy to keep it as is for now.

Owners threads are not converted from an existing thread. They have their own forum and a new thread is created.

Quoted from beelzeboob:

Well that's not necessarily true. I've seen it happen a few times in the past. But whatever. Somebody can start another one for both of us owners to participate in.

There were grandfathered ones because they were well established before they tried to be more consistent with the owner threads. And since pinside can't move threads, those basically stay as they were. Since, the renaming of threads has been undone so many times as people try to repurpose threads and they end up creating conflict.

Quoted from EDUB919:

I think most if not all of the damage occurred during shipping. Given the amount of corrosion on the rails who knows what could be going on inside the multiple electronic devices that can’t be seen.

Nah - the reason that part is rusting is because the part is defective. Probably mishandled during plating.

I can't believe PBros didn't do more promotion of queen at TPF. I only saw the one example.. and it looks like an older demo game. It played very poorly.

I would have thought with the game being more complete now they would do a push for it.. but basically nothing this time around. Really didn't help the impression of the game :/
