Last year, I was given a pinball machine by my father in law. It had been sitting in his basement for about 30 years at that point and he decided I'd be better off with it than he. A year later, I owned a truck and brought the thing home. After shoving and shuffling for an hour, the giant, electromechanical cabinet lie in my basement next to the work bench where I could lovingly begin to make every bulb glitter and sparkle like it had 60 years ago.
Except the darn thing doesn't even power up.
Thus begins my journey into electro-mechanical pinball repair and restoration.
