I'm doing a large pot of pasta sauce. Fresh onions, garlic, and herbs. I gathered mushrooms yesterday.
    So what are you cooking?

    Quoted from Bork:

Didn’t last very long after this picture.[quoted image]

Now you have Me energized. Gonna get some Moomar Cowdafi out of the freezer. Looks like yum from here.

    Quoted from mtn-:

You added any broth? I always add some beef stock to my pasta sauces, I think it really gives it that little extra that makes it stand out. Any serious italian chef would probably laugh at me though.

I use ground beef and sausage.

I've been in the garden this morning. This will go with yesterday's cutting and find its way yo the grill.

Let the Sunday afternoon grill wars begin. I'm starting with some bacon done on the akorn.

    Quoted from punkin:

Toss the spagrus in a half dozen drops of sesame oil and some salt and pepper and toss in a hot pan for 1 min. Sprinkle a few drops of good balsamic on it and serve crunchy.
    You're welcome.

    That sound good!

    Quoted from Jaybird815:

Almost done seasoning it, 30 minute assembly my ass!

    Quoted from Soapman:

Birthday steak for my love!![quoted image]

    A happy birthday wish.

    Quoted from guss:

Homemade pizza (my secret is cook it under the stone) cooks even top and bottom. [quoted image][quoted image]

I use the overhead stone thing when I make cornbread. Did not think about pizza... Thanks.

    #146 1 year ago
    Quoted from Erik:

Is that 5 gallons of sauce?

That was just my 3 gallon pot. I make large batches and portion it out and freeze it.

    #168 1 year ago

Do you know where this is headed? Add bacon crumbles, smoking hot bacon grease, and balsamic.

    Quoted from djreddog:

Does anyone own a Roccbox for pizzas? I’ve been eyeing one for like 6 months but haven’t pulled the trigger yet.
    [quoted image][quoted image]

That is intersting... It took a long time for me to do the egg grill thing, but that was the best move ever made. As far as grilling goes. Jaybirds flat top also wants to make me spend a few bucks.

    Quoted from Jaybird815:

This is a fatty where I’m from mate [quoted image]

    Same in Tennessee.

The pretzels look awesome. They must be great fresh out of the oven.

    #221 1 year ago

We have some cabbage roll stew simmering.

It is a dark terrible day, for I have consumed the last leftover deviled egg from Sunday. Bummer...

    #300 1 year ago
    Quoted from Spyderturbo007:

Very nice!! How did you do yours? I’m fighting 45mph wind gusts right now so it’s sucking the heat right out of the smoker. I hope they crisp up like I want.

We are also dealing with wind. So I will grill the burgers later.

    Who likes cornbread?

    Quoted from bluespin:

Beef Pot Roast. I made this in the crock pot overnight. I hope that the cooking technique and plate are acceptable. [quoted image]

That is what went with my cornbread. I must admit complete failure on plate selection... I put mine in a bowl with a slice of cornbread crumbled under the crockpot sirloin roast. Oh well, scold me...

    Quoted from Bax1:

I had a major tragedy discovered this afternoon fellas I discovered that my wife unplugged the freezer in the basement I had 4 racks of ribs, 3 whole turkey breast, 2 whole chickens, 2 lbs of ground beef, and a whole pork butt in there. was the worst sell I have ever encountered. I hope I can get the smell out and was lucky nothing was in my stomach or it would’ve been everywhere.
So I’m gonna post what I’m making today but can I post a video as a picture attachment?

Man that stinks... I mean beside the oder yummie food that got away.

I talked the Lady of the house into whipping some of these up. I hurt myself... Thanks for sharing the recipe.

Starting with peppercorn bacon. I picked a metric crapload of squash and zucini yesterday. They will find there way to the grill shortly along with some ribeyes.
Happy Fathers day to me. From my dogs of course...

Anybody ever throw a hickory chunk on charcoal for hotdogs?

Always. We have 14 hickory trees in our yard. The nuts are great for smoking with.
