    Quoted from Elvishasleft:

Over time you will figure out best ways to do it.. I dropped and kept off about 25 pounds doing it.
If I slip up and put on a few pounds its pretty easy to take it back off by tightening back up.
One key is not drinking or if you do stick to no carb stuff like vodka or tequila and soda.
Avoiding sugar (which is in fucking everything these days) is way harder than it seems but you will figure it out.
If anybody is interested I can throw up here some keto things you can buy in stores or on amazon that are actually good.

I'm definitely interested in some new ideas, thanks. No shit with the sugar, it's unbelievable how much is in everything. If nothing else this diet gets you looking at labels.

Heres a few off top of my head.

Some of these are whole foods kinda things so good luck unless you have one near by... some are on amazon.

All this shit is pricy because its not sugar laden junk.

Mikeys english muffins- need to be toasted but passable for lots of uses
Outer Aisle cauliflower thins and pizza crust- use for pizza and tacos etc. Also need to be toasted.
Quest snack/granola bars- peanut butter chocolate is good
Bhu keto bars and bite things
    Genius gourmet- Keto chips
Alvorado street bakery has some lower carb sprouted frozen breads
Kozmos makes some good rubs with no sugar for chicken etc
Herbtonics apple cider vinegar keto pills- seem to help my gut and keep you in keto

I enjoy your posts @bayoubilly70, you seem to eat alot of meat that is somewhat exotic to me.

Havent had rabbit in 20 years, its very hard to find in Norway. When I grew up in Sweden I had it sometimes, my grandfather used to hunt.

Id love to try buffalo meat sometime. Tried a quick google search for it, and only norwegian results are imported dog snacks made of hyde.

Non quarantine version. BBQ at a mates, whole pig, butt of beef, legs of lamb and rotisserie chickens. Roast vegies in the big camp ovens. There was some stuff made out of leaves and other plant material too that i didn't pay much attention to.

Feel free to kick me and my low carb pics out of the club, but here is my latest attempt at low carb pizza. This was by far the best. The "dough" is make of canned chicken, 2 eggs and 1/2 cup of grated parmesan. You wouldn't be fooled and think it's real dough, but you would go back for a 2nd piece.

Sausages with bacon, oyster mushrooms, onions, garlic, chilli and peppercorns done in duck fat. I'll mix in some oyster sauce when it's nearly done. On hot dog rolls later when i'm drunk.

It'd give you a stiffy if you could taste it. Combo of green and black peppercorns with the bird's eye.

I love beef ribs! It's like a brisket point with a handle. I did a 4 bone rack yesterday. About 3 hours in some Hickory and then another 2 hours or so wrapped to get them tender.

Nothing but coarse ground salt, pepper and dehydrated garlic as a rub and some beef broth in the foil when I wrapped them.

The smoke ring turned out great. The first picture was after they came out of the smoke and were ready to be wrapped.

They aren't cheap that's for sure, but they are worth every penny! I think my wife said that rack was about $52, but it was ~7lbs if I remember correctly.

If you've never had them, it's worth the money. Beef ribs might just be my favorite BBQ.

    #1628 3 years ago

    Wow. Awesome.

I love fried calamari, I've never tried squid any other way. How are you buying the squid? When I've looked in the supermarket frozen was my only option and when I fried it, it wasn't great.

I get it frozen at Market Basket. Thaw it in the refrigerator.

If you can find whole fresh small squid then a great way to cook them is marinade in a little olive oil, garlic and chilli with black pepper with some capsicum (bell peppers for you lot), asparagus etc and grill them all together on the weber. I use one of those baskets with a handle, should have an old pic here somewhere (could only find one with prawns in the basket, but you get the idea).

    Proper scandinavian breakfest.

    Knäckebröd and coffe.

Of all the things i miss about Scandinavia, it's the black bread. I can't get bread that good in Australia.

It's like people invented butter after they had that bread because they needed something to do it honour.

I think IKEA actually sells knäckebröd in Australia?

    Maybe, I'm in a village.

You should try to bake your own. If there are no proper recipes in english online Im happy to translate a few from swedish/norwegian.

All that fish you often fry would taste the best cold, on a knäckebröd.

Thank you, but baking bread and freehand knife sharpening are two skills i've busted my arse on and yet to master with any success.

Bread i have put special effort into, everything from months of Five Minutes a Day Artisan Bread to bread machines and old fashioned knead and rise.

I've had a couple of successful runs on bread rolls, mostly out camping in the camp oven believe it or not. But enough failures to have given up.

Sometimes you just have to accept that you can't be competent at everything.

After seeing some of the stuff you've made,I don't believe you can't make this bread. Its amazing, and it won't last more than an hour once you take it from the oven.
Try this and I promise you, you'll love this bread!

I live alone nowadays and eat very little bread anyway. I keep a loaf of rye bread in the freezer and wouldn't renew it more then every second month.
