I have a Quantum Electronics 128x32 DMD that I had pinpointed an issue with images overlapping due to 12 volts being loaded down to 8 volts. It is appears the problem because of U8 since the voltage climbs back up to 12 volts when U8 is removed.

Can anyone tell me all the lettering on the U8 part?

I have a SN7405N part installed on the DMD I am repairing. I looked this part up and it seems that the voltage range this part can accept is only up to 5.25 volts max. So I am lead to believe this is the wrong part.

Can anyone post a schematic for this display??

    Schematic anyone?

I've never heard of Quantum Electronics before. The only companies I know of that make/made DMD's are Cherry, Babcock, and Vishay-Dale.

Well, I am wondering if Quantum Electronics was bought out by Babcock. The DMD boards look so similar to each other. If that is the case, then U8 should be a DS88L12N.

Anyone can confirm U8 is DS88L12N?

I have a Quantum DMD like the one yours in the pic. U8 on mine has a 7406 installed (SN7406N).
