SOLVED: It DOES in fact fit to the left of Crazy Bob's......ha

Does anyone recognize this plastic? Came with my set but can't for the life of me figure out where it goes. It doesn't fit near Crazy Bob's.....not sure where else it would go.....

Soooo close I can taste it!!! Did a little play testing today. Fixed the hand mech and ball launch issues. I guess the interlock was not connected right.

Hand mech is working like a charm.

Few more little parts to sort out and then decals late this week.

If all goes well I should be playing by Saturday!! And from the glass off no flippers play I did with no ramps...should be a dream!! Pics and vid soon!

Replaced a 555 in one of the pops. Also put a new coil sleeves in, cleaned it, and lost a 555 socket in the process (UPDATE.....found it....safe in it's bag... haha).....ha.

Cleaned and out the crazy bobs sign and socket assembly back in.

Tried to repair the left loop switch but it seems it needs replaced or its shorted to a coil. It's burning diodes... Test voltages tomorrow.

Reflowed the light board for the bonus multiplier lights. One of them wasn't working

Thurs and Fri are reserved for ramps and flippers then the game should be playable

Best part is I still have plenty of mods to do!!! New translite, speaker panel (finalized the art, should be here in 2 weeks) , uv led strip (~15ft), two cold cathode uv tubes, prob some flasher augmentation, few more tricks.... Should make for a fun July!

I'll take plenty of pics and video late this week PLUS recording the install video for the Johnny Drive!

Don't want to get too far ahead and honestly I can think of 10 other things to do with $140 but.... MIGHT get a GI Ocd..... Seems like it would make a huge difference in this game.... Maybe towards the end....

After taking off like.....1,000,000 rivets I finally figured out a way to do it that is a lot easier......nice seeing as I only had to do the last 3 tonight......sheesh

NOW I shall put on the new decals......and RE-RIVET these things~~!~ hahahahahahahaha Then play the $*|+ out of this thing!!!

Terrible photos but I think the new posts (from Mezel Mods) will look quite nice......esp with some UV light!!!! And for all you modders out there. Get yourself a dremel!!

Thanks. It's really coming along. As for the Matrix ref it is really more of a replacement for the exiting one. The cool thing about it is that you can position it in a bunch of places because of the way it is mounted. So you can swing it over the pf, or the ramp, or really put it anywhere you want. It's pretty versatile.

It's hard to tell in that pic but it's chromed. I dipped them in liquid metal. Well more a made a mold. The only issue is they are SUPER heavy now......

After about 3 months I am just about done. New decals on. Ramps put back together. ALL switches test A-OK. I am play a game by hand but.....I am SOOOOO close that it is almost criminal that I can't play yet....you see.....something is wrong.......whenever I push a flipper button the game resets.......I know this is typically a bridge rectifier symptom. The upper flippers work if that is worth anything. Trying to figure out where to start. BR on the fliptronics board...the driver board, or...did I mess up when I put the new transistors in....they all seem to test ok.......

Soo soo.close. replaced the diodes on the flippers. I was only getting point 2 ohms on the power side of both...so.bad diode there.

Checked the connectors for damage...not there...

I think it's got to be the diodes on the board..once I do that it's go time.

Then I can really start modding this thing.

Still.to.come: custom dmd cover, improved custom translite, uv strips and cold cathode mounted, side blades, sweet topper, a few of toys, and.....who knows what else. That's what I have moving right now. Also have s bunch of other ideas....but will they be ready in time for.the Cleveland show?!?!?!???? Only time will tell.

SO I guess I indeed wired both coils backward, again.....sheesh! Bit of a delay fixing that issue as I have some other issues to sort out, ohhh life, but soon soon soon!

It plays like a dream!!!!!!!!!!!!! Amazing. Played a good 20 games today. Going to take a break on working on it and play it. Then I have so many cool things to do with it!!!

Posted some video on my Instagram. I'll get a little on here eventually for posterity's sake. Few little tweaks like the set screw for one of the hands Y coupling keeps coming loose. But nothing too bad. Just a little tightening here and there!

Ohh and as for the coils I just had the red and yellow wires mixed up. Swapped those and put a new diode on the coil and we are golden

Not sure how this happened (prob due to the NVRAM) but I got to play midnight maddess mode twice last night....FUN!!

Yeah! Dmd panels finished printing today. Should have them in by....next week sometime.

I have some custom white ramp decals for Johnny Mnemonic, a grey set of decals, a custom DMD panel cover (blue lasers similar to the translite), and I also I have a custom translite and a stock translite if anyone is interested let me know. There has to be a hot dog joint around here?!?!

Added a flasher under the apron that connects to the right sling flasher. It's like lighting under there!!! Thought about it flashing with the shooter coil but that doesn't happen enough.

Sooo.....small delay on the DMD panels. Everyone agrees that the file I sent was blue and these are.....not. So delay.....sorry. Hope to have this sorted by week's end. And thus concluded my modding career......
