    Hello,

I just did a call on a de lw3 pinball and it had no cmos ram 6264 but still held memory etc. And played.
I installed nv ram in the empty socket and removed batteries. The game would not hold settings so i put batteries in and it played fine.
Do some boards not require a cmos ram? Thanks! Jr

The empty socket is for a second EPROM on early games when it was probably cheaper to install two smaller EPROMS than a single 64k. I think the game has been programmed onto a single EPROM at C5. D5 is the RAM. They’ve just thrown you off with the labels I think.
