Hi folks i have a puzzle ,when sling shots are hit they should score 1 but that only happens every ninth time they are hit ,the other eight times they they score eleven .What causes this. One more should the R relay hold switch stay locked on the whole time machine is powered.

Please edit the title for the thread so that it is more descriptive than "puzzle".
Check you 9th position switch (on the score reel). I suspect it is closed when it should be open.
Also confirm none of the tabs are touching or a solder blog is making contact.
The hold switch normally stay on. (you can confirm by checking the schematic)
