Here's a couple pics from Williams Blackout (1980) with an ebay NVRAM installed. Best $15 spent. Gorgar is Williams (1979). Both are System 6 so they should insert in same spot without any soldering.

Edit: Upon further inspection of your photos, it looks like there is no socket. I apologize. You would need to desolder your chip and solder in a socket, then use the NVRAM. I personally like the NVRAM option instead of replacing batteries or moving the holder remotely.
