If anyone has a lead on someone to call for an LE spot at MSRP, lemme know. I'm not married to getting the topper, but I think it's worth the $ if I can nab one at retail.

Well, BMF deposit down. Let the wait begin. Pin budget says this shipping in 24 is a good thing anyway.
Quoted from iceman44:A $10k alphanumeric display? Let’s see how it all works out
Vs. 20k score reels, it sounds like a steal and damn futuristic to boot
Quoted from TreyBo69:Now I just want Stern to make a modern Star Gazer with alphanumeric so they could slightly expand the ruleset (like Beatles). Bond 60th could have just been alphanumeric
This, and shut up and take my money.
Seriously, if stern did limited run re-releases of the best of their classics (say, SG, SW, Catacomb, QS, Stars, Meteor)...Someone call Seth Disney and tell him there's easy money. I'd happily pay pro prices for every one of those if it was just the game made brand-spanking new, and I'm sure I'm far from the only one. But with just basic updates to LED PCBs/yopps and simplified boards and wiring could easily get them down below Home Pin BOM, and seriously, what good pinhead with the room wouldn't want a couple if they were 5k or less?
OK, back to Pulp Fiction.
Quoted from Zablon:haha, do yourself a favor and run...run far away
I used to not care, but now....now I'm thinking the toppers might be getting better than the games.
Yeah, I saw that rush topper reveal and wanted to get a rush back in the house to put under one...
Quoted from punkin:Funny, we agree on something once again.
Tried telling people at pinfest the reason why i didn't play Venom.
They have got the recipe. Gary Stern said the same.
Melted crayon art, shiny fancy habitrails, every shot you hit goes up a fucking ramp somewhere, and the deepest code for 'gamers' was Gary's term.
If i squint, i can't tell the difference tween the last six games or more.
When Shane Surfboards were doing it when i was a kid they called them 'popouts'.
I agree with much of that, but I'll say having put a little time on Venom the code is actually really interesting and novel. It's very much a modern stern, the shots are less interesting that anything since LZ (which I still own and love), and the theme does nothing for me. But they are doing some genuinely new stuff here, and I'll give them real props for that. The locked ball reservoirs kicking balls out to speed things up is genuinely cool, speeds up the ramps and such, puts some meat on the boring fan layout. So far it's not a game I'd own, but it's damn fun to play in the wild.
I chatted with them at length at Expo. After shooting the shit for a while, I said "Sure you're sick of this and have nothing to say, but any idea when PF will start shipping?" No beat, "Absolutely. Two days after the world ends."
I respect that man. I knew what I was signing up for. If you didn't, you should pay more attention.
