I'm looking for the dimensions for the supports on a pre-1974 Philadelphia Toboggan Co. Skee ball machine. I bought an old 1971 and it came without cabinet legs and the front alley support. I'm trying to restore the machine and want to keep as close to the original as possible. There just isn't a lot of information on these old units.

    1. The wooden cabinet legs in pictures I've seen look like 2x2s. Can someone that has one verify this? Also would like to know the height and also where the bolt holes are that attach inside the cabinet. (Note: my cabinet did not seem to have bolt holes - I think they never had the original wooden legs installed - instead it probably sat on something when it was in the arcade.)

    2. The front alley stand. This is where may have front openings for coins drop and also tickets on the other side. It appears this may have been a metal box from pictures I seen. If anyone has one could you send dimensions / material thickness / or any pictures. I think I will have to fabricate one and I'm trying to keep it as original as possible. Few pictures:
    a. Picture with the red circle show a side shot I found online. This may be a longer depth box and probably has a ticket mechanism.
    b. The picture with the green lines show the front.
    c. And the picture withe the finger shows a much older PTC machine where the cabinet legs are laying on top of the front support stand. It looks like the alley support was not as deep as picture 2a - probably because it did not use a ticket mechanism.

Any help with sizes would be appreciated.

Hey Andrew, I live somewhat in the area, feel free to contact me if you want to take a look at what I have on mine. Mine is an earlier model without a ticket dispenser.

Thanks. Yes - I'm near Allentown and would be interested in seeing your alley. It looks great!

The alley I bought did not have a ticket dispenser with it so I think I will go with shorter depth front support like yours. My model is 1971 so there may have been a option for a longer depth front support that housed a 110v ticket dispensor.

Is your entire front stand made of metal? Depending on the dimensions I can probably have a local machine shop fabricate one. I do have either 1 (or 2?) holes under the front alley on each side that attach to the stand. Probably with short bolts.

The only other part I'm missing is the net and frame. Did your alley come with the frame it or did you use 1x1 (?) square stock and a bender to make your own? If you can also take measurements of the frame I would appreciate it.

Yes the front is all metal. I attached some pics, if you need something more specific just let me know.

For the net and frame, I had to fab all that. I used 1x1 aluminum stock (for side netting) and learned how to bend that without kinking and metal conduit. The top netting I used 3/8" rolled stock. The netting I found a place in Tampa FL for that. And the gray material attaching the netting to the frame I found at Joannes Fabrics and learned how to whip-stitch that in place. You will also have to make 2 brackets the attached the frame to the back box.

I'll also PM you about other things

    Thanks
    Steve

probably a few years too late, but if anyone else is looking for one, came across this one on Ebay for what seems to be a reasonable price. ebay.com link: itm
