Selling my Prototype Twister. This is a Confirmed Prototype, that was bought from Sega by the previous owner. Game is in great shape and fully functional.

Game was shopped out, with a full teardown about 200 games ago.
Full LED kit was installed.
Cliffy made me a protector for the spinning disk, also installed.
Cab has Zero flipper button wear!!.
Under the playfield, and inside of the cab are extremely CLEAN!!
Ramps are all very Clear
Some of the parts look to be hand painted, like the caution tape by the mutiball lock. The body of the games sideart looks to be also, but not sure on that. You can also see some outlining were they drew to put stuff, like by the flipper coils

The only bad is there is a rub on the head, nothing crazy. Can be touched up with black

Im open to trade

What are the differences between the proto and production game? Is the cabinet or playfield artwork any different?

#4 5 years ago

Comparing to other pics on ipdb. Other than some different color inserts and plastics having no art, what are the other differences?

#5 5 years ago

Im not 100% sure. I know there was a Tanker on the production games, not the firetruck

#6 5 years ago

Is this the same one? If not, wonder how many was made.

Yes it is that is my brother. Didn't know he posted some pics of the game before I shopped it

Wanted to add that it has super bands, and also comes with a lock hole cliffy that is not installed.

Yeah the only difference I see from mine is the truck at the top and sling shots. Does you magnet work?

Having played the game, this very machine, I find it dishonest that you don't mention how glitchy the game is. Hold left flipper for auto skill shot and free multi-ball and free ball. Not to mention when I played it the slingshots were randomly firing and the fan wasn't centered.

Looks pretty damn clean inside the game. Kind of sterile with just clear plastics tho. I'm sure it's just the early roms that are so glitchy. Can replace with modern roms.

Never knew about the skill shot thing....but i think it dishonest for u to post not knowing what was fixed after the game was at my house.

BTW:: Switch was fixed for slingshot..adjustment , Fan is centered.

OK Evreyone!!!

THE PROTOTYPE GAME HAS PROTOTYPE ROMS

no price, no interest

Also, it's been sitting over a month. I love Twister, I just got my Twister back and I'm ecstatic. The problem with this prototype is that it's actually worse than the production. Usually it's the other way around, but with art missing from plastics, and nothing really special about it, it sounds like the OP is trying to get quite a bit of money for a D game with missing plastic art.

ive never owned one, but ive always been kind of a sucker for the mball deal- just so super cool....

his game, his set price- its ok
,- there are collectors or people that value proto's for the rarity and brag rights, it a niche market deal.

game looks in real decent shape.
