.
Taking my prospector to pincinnatti and need to turn off extra ball feature.
Looked at it today and was reading manual and looking in backbox and can't quite figure it out.
Erik is putting it in tourney and I need to get it turned off.

Thx for any help

Since it’s an add a ball machine, I don’t believe there is a simple jones plug to turn it off. You could just de-solder the hot wire to the extra ball relay.

Being that the game is similar to Yukon, you could look in the backbox and see if you can see this wheel adjustment. Just set it to replay.

It's not an add a ball machine, but your solution is correct. Just disconnect the extra ball relay coil, and then you can't get extra balls!

For bonus points, also take out the lamp for the 'extra ball when lit' arrow on the right kicker

You could just block the normally closed switch in the red box on the Extra Ball relay to keep it from firing.

The game does have a credit/extra ball adjustment but that does not disable the extra ball awarded by the Canyon switch after relays 1-4 have been activated.

So that switch has a jumper and a yellow wire and is n.c.?

Looking at the bank relays not sure what switch it is.

That’s what I do. Put paper or cardboard to block the switch closure, remove playfield lamps.

Yellow-black wire.

It's the last switch in your photos, switch 1D, top of the stack, all the way to the left, mounted above the Extra Ball relay in the trip relay bank.

Found it.

So I want to keep it n.c.?

So wrap some tape around it I assume.

Or clip an alligator clip to it.

Yep. That's what I did.

Ok I've got a tiny ziptie and alligator clip. Will report back

Did a ziptie and then the clip as shown.
Still awarding extra balls.

No, you want to force it open to prevent the relay from firing. You need to block it with paper or something similar as chuckwurt and I mentioned earlier.

I have played the game before and didn’t think it was an add-a-ball, but IPDB had it listed as an add-a-ball, so that confused me.

You could have also slipped a cut McDonalds straw over the leaf switch. I do this during testing.

You can also simply adjust the switch so it doesn’t close, then readjust back when you want extra ball awarded again.
