The story and picture was posted and then the machine was identified. It should still stand in the station, and while legally dubious at best, if some adventurous soul really wanted to rescue it, I'd love to see the results.
These rescues are quite interesting and I can hypothetically suggest that pins like this should make excellent parts machines... if I were to guess
In this case it is also missing the playfield and the entire right side so the cabinet is only decent for some hardware and maybe a wallhanger if you like that sort of thing
