Quoted from TractorDoc:

Mixed some paint, sprayed the cabinet, and pulled off the stencil.
The front looks good. The coin door trim will cover the areas that do not continue into the coin door opening.

Corners look to match well enough.

And the sides. The metallic in the scales looks fantastic in the sun. Should sparkle even more once the clear goes on.

The tail is my favorite image on the cabinet.

So far I am very happy -- another big Thank You to PinballPimp for having these stencils available. I'm sure I will be back for other sets. . . . I just hope not too soon as applying these gave me several more gray hairs (but that was me stressing too much, not the stencil's fault )
One more scuff down and some clear coat then legs can be attached -- cannot wait!

That looks fantastic!

Quoted from TractorDoc:I need to do a little more testing before pulling the interconnect, but I'll be sure to post more pics when I do.

The interconnect board on our Taxi we just picked up must have some cold solder joints on it. I can wiggle the connectors on it while powered up and some of the GI lights flicker on and off so I'll definitely be pulling all the boards to reflow all of the header pins. In my experience with our Big Guns, and Cyclone these sys11 boards are loaded with cold solder joints.

Quoted from TractorDoc:

Most playfield pieces are back in position and several games have been played!

Check out the stainless ball guide just to the right of the Gorbie insert. The way it looks the ball will travel down the guide, and bounce off the backside of the post rubber that's in front of it (like it does on mine). Maybe a bend towards the center of the playfield will make the transition smooth.

Great progress!
