I second what Cletus said

Can’t wait to see what you have in mind. I could see some iridescent paint on the lettering to make it look ‘underwaterish’

#284 4 years ago

That’s going to look sharp! Are you still going to have the hatching in the lettering?

#287 4 years ago

It will make quite a splash on here when it’s all done!

Quoted from Mitch:

I follow everyday, but I dont use the favorite option.

Quoted from Quench:

Ditto. Sure there are many others..

Quoted from TractorDoc:

As of today we have 41 favorites on our thread -- 41/57862 = 0.07% -- we have a long way to go just to get to 1%!

Ditto to what Mitch and Quench said. But I just favorited it now to help you reach 1%

Quoted from TractorDoc:

I know it is very minor compared to some of the repairs others have had to do.

Yeah, those are nothing that couldn’t be just filled and touched up with a little paint, BUT......I wouldn’t want to stop you from doing what you do best and going the extra mile. Plus I can’t wait to see the killer paint job you have planned

Bye bye scuba man. See you soon in your new glittery wet suit

Looks awesome! Of course you’re looking at it through a microscope but it still looks amazing.

She’s a beauty!

Quoted from TractorDoc:

I actually kind of like how they look on the cabinet even without the legs.

Maybe that’s a nudge for the direction your brain is telling you to go on leg finish?

#417 4 years ago

I think you got it figured out. The gray looks great.

Awww, poor guy. I suddenly don’t care about your meticulous attention to detail on the pin. Hope he gets better soon. By the way, nice job on your display panel i guess. I’m kidding. Looking good!

How’s that cold brew? Sounds interesting. Does it have a hint of coffee flavor?

#508 4 years ago
Quoted from TractorDoc:

Not too bad. I'm not usually one to have a taste for microbrew/fancy beers (Corona Premier is typically in the fridge), but Mrs. TractorDoc has been making Cold Brew Milkshakes lately. Saw these in the store today and couldn't resist. . . I don't think I'll have any problems finishing the six pack!
Edit -- forgot to add, they do have a mild coffee flavor.

Were you drinking straight from the can? I know with those nitros they say dump straight into a glass to get that creamy head that nitros are known for. Ok, I’m done with the hijack, back to your awesome restore

Is that weird bulb under playfield supposed to be the credit bulb that goes in the cutout?

Quoted from jj44114:

That bulb is related to the solenoid expander board. Don’t put an led bulb in there. Incandescent only.

What is it’s purpose?

#515 4 years ago
Quoted from jj44114:

The solenoid expander is controlled by an scr on the lamp driver. It needs a load to work properly which is provided by that bulb.

Makes sense, thanks for the explanation

Spent a little time on the next chapter this afternoon -- I'll have a post or two (as well as a thread title change) coming to tell you about it!
