Here's what I don't understand:
The playfield designer; designs the playfield layout, but the software programmer makes the rules?? Why wouldn't the guy who's designing the playfield also make the rules?

I'm certain that the designer and programmer talk at length at what they want in the game though, so in a sense there is some designer interaction with the rules of the programming.
Thank you! You proved my point exactly. But then why are people saying in the Xmen video thread that some Lonnie guy is making all the rules? Wouldn't John Borg make the rules to the game he is designing?
