For what its worth, your Power Driver board pictures shows LED4 out ( right in the middle of your picture), this is your +5V coming off the regulator on the Power Driver board. Nothing is going to work without that voltage.

Not exactly...but it can effect it.
Yeah, I wouldn't mess with J101 with the power on; J101 is your AC transformer voltage coming into the Power Driver...You should be scared messing with that one.
