A few months ago I purchased a beat up Time Warp from a pinside member to get into the world of pinball. I have done a lot to it and have learned a ton but I am still having problems and I can't seem to fix it.
The blanking signal stays low. There is an LED attached to the 37 pin on the 40 pin connector and I can see it flashing slightly when I turn on the machine but it never gets to 5V. I can jump it with a 5V source and then everything works except the score displays strobe through and everything seems underpowered. There have been two instances over the past few months that when working on things and wiggling things that the power seemed to come on and everything worked fine for a minute or two. It was great and then it went off. I know I should probably rebuild the blanking signal part of the board but I wonder if I don't have other power issues too. I can give you all and power reading you want but before I did that I figured maybe someone would have experienced this same thing and knew the fix.
I have reflowed the header pins on the 40 pin connector and replaced the female side on the driver board and that didn't help.
Any help would be appreciated. I can get videos too if that helps. This has been a fun, educational, and frustrating experience so far.
Thanks!
