Ugg... so my original display was going out in my TSPP so I purchased a ColorDMD. I had a pinball repair guy come out and help me install this thing. We had it all in place and when we turned it on we get the start up screen but then the screen is blank. We've check the connections multiple times and now we are 3 hours into this... I ended up paying the repair guy to screw up my machine I think. Anyone have any ideas on this ? I attached a bunch of pictures... Also, anyone know where I can get a display board for a TPSS...

PM Color dmd they are on pinside. You did load the file?

I’m pretty sure you just need to toggle one of the buttons on the color dmd and it will stay on after

You may need the the 5.0 software for it to work properly (your startup screen says 4.0). I remember reading this before installing mine. I already had the updated software, but I think the chip is like $15 and not hard to replace. Color DMD should be able to help, and the guys on the Simpsons Pinball Party club thread would also have more info. Good luck.

Can you go back to basics and just put the wiring back for the old display. I know you said it is out gassing but that would at least let you know if the controller board is working

I agree it’s probably the ROM version. I would start there as you should be running the latest anyways.
Looks like the original batteries too? I’d get those out of there ASAP and replace with a NVRAM.
