I have a WOZRR that I am trying to help a friend fix and a having trouble determining what the problem is with the Throne Room VUK opto. Here is a description of what I see and what I have tried.

In the Matrixed Switch Test mode, the Throne Room VUK (switch 15) shows up as green (Active opto) instead of yellow (inactive opto) as it should when there is no ball in the VUK. I followed the wiring to the Right Side Opto board and the Throne Room VUK is connected to J7 on that board as it should be. I reseated the J7 connector as well as the J9 connector and power connector on the right side opto board with no luck.

I then unplugged the connectors from J7 (throne room) and J8 (right orbit enter) and reversed them so that the right orbit enter opto was connected to the VUK (switch 15) J7 connector and the VUK opto was connected to the right orbit enter (switch 16) J8 connector. With the wires reversed, the Throne Room VUK (switch 15) still shows up as green (Active opto) instead of yellow (inactive opto) and the right orbit (switch 16) was yellow (inactive opto) as it should be. This would seem to indicate to me that the Throne Room Opto itself is OK since it registers normally when connected to J8 (agree?).

I repeated the exercise again bu swapping J7 (throne room VUK) and J1 (ramp lock 1) with the exact same results.

At this point I am not sure where to go from here to determine where the problem is. It is still possible that the VUK Opto switch is simply bad or am I looking a possibly a problem with J7 on the right side opto board or something else. Would appreciate some assistance in sorting this out.
